Where do you actually find your first real users?

I launched a small tool this week and now I’m facing the classic problem: getting real humans to try it.

I’ve posted on X, Reddit, LinkedIn… got a few sign-ups, but mostly “email-only” accounts, not actual creators using the product.

For those of you who’ve been through this phase:

• Where did your first real testers come from?
• Did you DM people?
• Did you join specific communities?
• Did you make videos?
• Or did it just happen naturally after weeks of posting?

Not trying to promote anything here.
Just want to learn how people got past the empty room.

Would appreciate any honest advice.
