Validating... People who handle clients actually struggle with chasing late payments ?

I’m exploring a small SaaS idea around helping freelancers or anyone who deal with late payments.

From what I’ve seen (and experienced a bit), the issue isn’t just cashflow it’s the awkwardness of following up multiple times. like "HATE ASKING MORE THAT TWICE'

Most people seem to:

  1. send 1-2 followups manually

  2. hesitate to push further

  3. or end up doing it manually every time with inconsistencies

For those who’ve worked with freelancers or done freelance work:

  1. Is this actually a painful problem or just part of the job?

  2. How do you currently handle follow-ups?

  3. Do you think something automated here would be useful or overkill?

There are already tools like QuickBooks and FreshBooks that handle invoicing and reminders.

But from what I’ve been seeing, the bigger issue might not be sending invoices it’s the follow up process itself. being awkward
