Software resistance to reverse engineering

Hey,

I wanted to ask you guys: what do you think will make software resistant to AI reverse engineering, and AI in general?

What I mean is that the goal is obviously to provide value to users. But if something becomes too easy to replicate, it might lose some of its value (with some exceptions, of course).

Do you think SaaS/software relying mainly on backend processes are the way to go? Basically, not exposing too much of the underlying logic through the frontend, if possible?

Working in some more traditional industries, I noticed that certain business models have always remained valuable. For example, buying from wholesalers is often less expensive than buying small quantities directly from manufacturers, so wholesalers continue to have customers.

What do you think still has value nowadays in software? And what do you think will retain its value in the future?
