Never thought someone would pay for my productivity app.

Yeah, I know many of you say "another productivity app."

I'm a history graduate and didn't know anything about tech I started learning vibe coding 6 months ago I built the app and published it on the Play Store, and someone paid for it. It really makes me happy.

Every time I saw a new productivity app launched on Reddit, it made me feel: why am I doing this? Will someone actually pay for it, or am I just wasting my time?

But one thing always pushed me forward: even if I don't earn anything from this app, at least I have learned so much from it.

• I never knew anything about databases or tech stuff. I learned about caching, better indexing, Redis, and many other things.

• I learned some UX parts, like how to hide the loading, optimistic UI and skeleton screens. I know for many of you this is nothing, but as a history graduate I didn't know anything.

• I learned from the analytics how users actually use the app, what I can do better to retain users longer, and how good and personalised onboarding helps users stay longer on the app.

It's not about the UI or having so many features. It's all about solving the problem the user is looking for.

With these learnings, I'm building another app, and this time it's not a productivity app. This time app building is not taking as long as I take earlier, and I'm handling things more easily.
