I’m a server engineer working at an IT company in Japan, and I’m planning to build a small SaaS product as a solo developer.
My goal is to eventually turn it into a paid service and earn some side income, but before I start building anything, I want to validate whether there’s actual demand outside Japan.
The idea is a tool that helps IT engineers manage and organize their professional skills.
In Japan, some companies require engineers to submit a detailed “skill sheet” when joining a project, so skill‑tracking is fairly common. I’m not sure if engineers in the US or other countries have similar needs.

I’d really appreciate feedback on whether this kind of service would be useful, what features engineers outside Japan would expect, and whether you think a paid version could realistically gain traction.
