I’m getting close to deploying a SaaS project I’ve been working on, and I was planning to use Render because it seemed like the easiest option.
But once I started adding up the cost of the web service, database, etc., it got more expensive than I expected, especially for something that basically has no users yet lol.
I’m curious how other solo devs are handling this.
Are you using Render, Railway, Fly.io, a VPS, or something else?
I don’t mind paying once the project has users, but paying a decent amount every month just to find out whether anyone even wants the product feels a bit painful.
What are you guys using for your early-stage SaaS projects?
