I’m building a technical B2B SaaS, and I’m starting to think X is the wrong place for what I need right now.
The issue is not just low engagement. X seems optimized for reach, punchy takes, and existing reputation. But at this stage, I’m mostly looking for sharper feedback and real conversations, not just visibility.
I also feel like the algorithm slowly turns me more into a consumer than a builder. When I’m less focused, it quietly pushes more videos and scrollable content, and I end up consuming instead of creating or having useful conversations.
For a technical product, useful feedback usually comes from context and back-and-forth. That is hard to get in a fast feed.
So I’m thinking of spending more time on Reddit, to see if the conversations are better.
For people building B2B SaaS or technical products: did Reddit help you get better feedback than X? Or is it just as hard, but in a different way?
What actually made the difference: the subreddit (which ones?), the way you framed the post, your credibility, showing the product, or something else?
