I give up trying to use Reddit to grow my SaaS

From what I've seen, there are generally three main ways people recommend using Reddit.

1. Just post stuff. Launch posts. What-I'm-building posts. Here's-my-story posts. Revenue success posts.

The catch is, the revenue success posts are pretty much the only type that people engage with.

And if you even dare try making any sort of post outside of r/saas or r/indiehackers or r/buildinpublic or r/thisisaplacejustforotherpeoplebuildingstuff, you may just get banned.

1. Find posts of people complaining about the problem your product solves, then provide a helpful comment with a mention to what you're building near the end.

It can still get you banned.

1. Find subreddits where your target users hang out. Only be helpful. Make helpful comments, but just make sure your product link is in your bio. Build "trust".

In other words, have a hidden agenda. It feels manipulative. Deceptive. Dishonest. More than that, it starts to become less of a strategy, and more of a lifestyle. Yes, I have a product. Yes, I'd like to make money from it. I figured, I'm autistic, 19 years old, and haven't even started my uni degree yet. So am I likely to get a job any time in the near future? No. So, I have to try doing it on my own.
