How many times had SaaS died in the last few years?

Im tired of seeing doomposters, especially on X claiming that SaaS is dead when the demand for software engineers is at all time high and SaaS companies are still making a lot of revenue.

Sure you can vibe code apps now, but you still need 100$+ AI subscriptions and the ability and time to maintain them.
Most of the time its better to just pay a SaaS to do the job instead wasting a lot of tokens and time on side project vibe coded app you made to avoid paying 29$ per month

There is a saying that i saw that nails it precisely:
“If everybody can make a sandwich in their kitchen, why are they still eating in restaurants”

And if you want me to explain it mathematically:
Lets say your hourly rate is 50$ per hour and you took the time for 48 hours to vibe code an app, lets calculate how much it cost you(not including the tokens or AI subscription):

48 * 50 = 2400$

It cost you 2400$ to vibe code(and that’s not including improvements and maintenance afterwards) instead of paying a 29$ subscription PER MONTH which you will not reach even in 6 consecutive years.

So is SaaS dead for the 10th? I guess not
