Got my first paying customers for my game-development SaaS yesterday

Yesterday I got my first few paying customers for Brainloot.

It’s only a few, but after months of building, changing direction and wondering whether anyone would actually pay for it, seeing that first payment felt massive.

Brainloot started as a broader visual project-management app, but conversations with developers kept pointing towards the same problem: game teams already have task boards, but they often stop updating them once they are working inside the engine.

That pushed me to build a Unity Bridge with real-time sync across Unity, web and mobile. Tasks can be updated inside the editor, linked directly to GameObjects and located again from the card.

The biggest lesson so far has been that narrowing the audience made the product much easier to explain. “Project management for everyone” was vague. “Project management that stays connected to Unity” gives people an immediate reason to care

I’m still extremely early, but those first customers has made it feel like a real product rather than just something I’ve built

For anyone further along: what did you focus on immediately after getting your first customer, finding more people like them, improving onboarding, or learning everything possible from that first user?
