I hear it so often nowadays. You create a landing page with a wishlist and then you start collecting emails. This in theory should tell you if your idea is good enough and if there is a market for your potential product. It sounds good to me.
But how does your ideal customer reach this landing page? How does he know about it? By cold outreach or by running ads or SEO?
If you succeed in getting to talk to someone who might want to try your product when it is ready, you tell him about your landing page? Or you just ask for his email?
I understand the benefit of having a list of people that are interested in your product, since they gave you their email addresses.
But I don't understand the how to. How does this landing page work? Is it viable? How hard it is to make people share their email with you? Did it work for you?
And does it work overall?
I am learning about different validation methods and I need some insight and help on this one.
Thank you!
