8 months in, $8k/mo, and my family has no idea

My app hit $8k/mo and I still haven't told anyone

About 14 months ago I launched a productivity tool, basically scratched my own itch -was tired of patching together Notion and a bunch of other stuff just to manage my own projects. First 4 months were rough, plateaued around $800/mo and honestly considered dropping it. Told my girlfriend about it early on, she was supportive but I could tell she thought it was a hobby. Stopped bringing it up after that.

Kept grinding, improved onboarding, doubled down on one specific use case instead of trying to be everything. Something clicked around month 10 and it just started growing. Closed last month at $8200. The weird part is I still haven't told anyone. Not my parents, not my friends. I think I'm waiting for some number in my head that feels "real" but I'm not sure what that number even is anymore

Do you share revenue numbers with people close to you? At what point did it feel worth mentioning?
